We put wheel flares perfectly in position for the front and back wheels, and the flares are actually in the same shape that your wheels will fall into the wells. This results in the concave getting slightly more aggressive the closer you get to the bolts. Overall, the board feels relaxed with functional flares to push on for more technical riding.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCONSTRUCTION\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e8 ply maple with triaxial fiberglass. We place the glass UNDERNEATH the top and bottom layer of wood for the purpose of comfort for the rider. This deck has a tail, and riders are beating the crap out of it. We don’t want you to get glass in your hands as this board starts to wear; however, we want you to get the benefits of fiberglass in the board, so we cover the outside with maple. Like all Pantheon boards in the current lineup, the entire board is laminated with waterproof resin. While the deck is not entirely waterproof, it is much more weatherproof and warp resistant than many other boards. Downhill stiffness out of the box.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGriptape: 60 grit across the deck. We’ve tested a lot of grip over the years and this 60 grit is both grippy while not being over-the-top, and it appears thus far to be our most durable. You’ll find the same grip on our Fantail Cruiser as well as our Bamboo Supersonics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCONCEPT\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKenny Napolitano is the latest team rider to get himself a pro deck. Partly due to his incredible style, partly hard work, and partly because he needed a certain style of deck that we felt really fit well into our growing lineup. Kenny is a versatile rider, and we’ve been watching him absolutely slay every deck in the lineup, but when we first saw him skate, he was on a big single kick. Here we are, full circle. The “Los Osos,” as he calls it, is the type of large single kick deck that lets Kenny be Kenny. And who knows? Maybe it’ll give you the same type of freedom that you’ve been looking for in a downhill skateboard, too.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGRAPHIC\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNew art by Rafa Alvarez on this “Los Osos” (the bears) graphic. This is an idea right out of the mind and experience of Kenny, depicting a time when he literally RAN INTO A BEAR going downhill. You can fit wider square lips with 150mm trucks, OR you can always use the classic 180mm trucks for a wider, classic downhill setup. From 150mm up, there is not a really wrong way to set this board up, but we would, in general, recommend a symmetrical setup for this deck. Asym setups are perfectly acceptable, but the standing platform is very symmetrical, so it feels great it switch and shines with a symmetrical setup. The classic 50\/50 setup will be the most wheelbite avoidant, and the 40\/40 or 43\/43 setup will be a bit more stable at speed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA TRUE PRO MODEL\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNot just a pro model in name only. We place the glass UNDERNEATH the top and bottom layer of wood for the purpose of comfort for the rider. This deck has a tail, and riders are beating the crap out of it. We don’t want you to get glass in your hands as this board starts to wear; however, we want you to get the benefits of fiberglass in the board, so we cover the outside with maple. Like all Pantheon boards in the current lineup, the entire board is laminated with waterproof resin. While the deck is not entirely waterproof, it is much more weatherproof and warp resistant than many other boards. We’ve tested a lot of grip over the years and this 60 grit is both grippy while not being over-the-top, and it appears thus far to be our most durable. The Lisa Pro features smooth lines from nose to tail to further express her style in board form. Lisa has a small stance and stands just a touch behind her front truck, which is why we felt comfortable putting a very small micro drop in the deck, so that she always has a reference point for where she is on her board without having to look down. The drop is small enough that she can stand right on top of it. And you can too! The deck was so good when we first made it back in 2017 that some of our team riders never got off of it, even if they were still riding a deck that was made in 2019. We didn’t want to mess that up, but we also wanted to use some of the skills that we’ve built over the past few years to create a sleeker, better looking board that reflects some of the concave desires of modern riders.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith that said, we lowered the W concave, so that you can still feel it, but it’s far less intrusive. We also smoothed out the flares so that the board overall just feels smoother from front to back. The board retains its original 1\/4″ microdrops, rocker, and W concave, but it tones down the concave and steepness of the original W-concave. The deck is widest where it counts, at the heel of the front foot, and features a waist that feels great for tucking, with a mild taper from front to back.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCONSTRUCTION\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e8 ply maple with triaxial fiberglass. We place the glass under the bottom layer of wood and put black dyed fiberglass on the top for a smooth, shiny finish that feels high quality to the look and touch. The deck has very little torsional flex, as do all of our downhill boards.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGriptape: 60 grit across the deck. We’ve tested a lot of grip over the years and this 60 grit is both grippy while not being over-the-top, and it appears thus far to be our most durable. You’ll find the same grip on our Fantail Cruiser, Kenny Napp Pro, Lisa Peters Pro, and our Bamboo Supersonics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCONCEPT\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Sacrifice is a bi-directional downhill\/freeride board. It was our most successful downhill product back when we first made this deck in 2017. Production changes resulted in losing our ability to manufacture this board, and it just took the back seat for a few years while we worked on other ideas and wanted to support our pro riders with pro model boards. Like all of our products, we didn’t want to design this board without being sure of how to improve it. Simply re-making the old design felt like it would be missing a growth element, so we waited for inspiration. The 2024 Sacrifice takes the bones of the previous model, smooths out all the curves, and takes a great feeling board and makes it sexy. We brought in the wheelbase a bit more so that the board reflects modern riders, lowered the concave a little, and reduced the peak of the W-concave, so that it’s more comfortable underfoot. Mongo riders might even be able to push this thing at a start line!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGRAPHIC\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA classic Eddie Kihm piece–same as the original. This has always been one of our favorite graphics. It depicts a figurative “rebirth,” where the subject is in a meditative stance and is stabbing herself in the chest, sacrificing her current condition to the will of the Universe. The blood takes form as fallen leaves as she lies in the middle of the woods, taking on an annual dying and rebirth of their own. We like this graphic so much, we didn’t even put our name on it, as we felt branding would just take away from the scene. We tested multiple shapes and molds. We were proven wrong on certain theories and truly honed this wheel shape through experience. A deeper flex channel on the inside lip provides extra edge flex needed for this larger diameter. A relatively small 52mm contact patch both keeps the weight down while also providing consistent grip that can be counted on. We actually did test wider contact patches and found that while we could get slightly more maximum grip out of certain widths, it made the wheel less predictable and it would release grip unexpectedly, while this 52mm contact patch was consistent and felt more comfortable and trustable when pushed to its limits. It doesn't hurt that the smaller CP drops a few grams either! The Hoku are the lightest wheels in their size category, featuring our 55mm lightweight custom core and just the right amount of urethane and in the right shape to get the job done. Although they are light for their size, they're still quite hefty unless you're used to riding wheels this large! Choose the Hoku when weight and ride height is less important than maximum roll speed over less than perfect pavement and extended momentum. The large diameter will even out road bumps and debris, and at 10mm larger than our 92mm Karma wheels, they will increase the ride height by 5mm. Getting them going requires more power, but they hold momentum like nothing else!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese wheels come in two different durometer (softness) options. Green 74a or Pink 78a. Choose the green for comfort. Choose the pink for racing and\/or hotter climates and smoother roads. Both are extremely high rebound race-level urethane. The fastest in the biz! Urethane does fluctuate in measurable softness dependent on heat.
